Procraft Marine Oy designs and manufactures a modern, next-generation rainbow trout feeding vessel for Nordic Trout. The vessel is 15 m long and can carry an additional 10 tonnes of fish feed in special silos, in addition to the deck cargo. This order is the second entirely new vessel ordered by Nordic Trout from Procraft Marine. Furthermore, a new feeding raft is being designed and manufactured for the client, which enables tube feeding of rainbow trout in offshore conditions. Nordic Trout Oy is the largest rainbow trout farmer in Finland and Sweden and the largest producer of rainbow trout roe in the EU.
“The order is significant for us and creates new jobs”, comments Esa Aaltonen from Procraft Marine. The design of the vessel begins immediately and it is scheduled for delivery to the customer in the spring of 2026.
